Macrossans Lawyers' partner Robin Lonergan  advises on contract negotiations whilst partners Bill Hickey and Tony Mylne are specialists in dispute situations.  The disputes team have represented many clients in the enforcement and/or resistance of  subcontractor's charges under the Subcontractor's Charges Act 1974 and using the Building and Construction Industry Payments Act 2004.   • Advising various consulting firms in relation to minimising risk in specific project contracts  through provisions for early dispute intervention such as setting up a disputes board.   
  • Acting for an interstate developer in recovery actions of a contractual nature, including advising on contracts, disputes, insurance and Trade Practices issues.
  • Ating for a consulting engineering firm in relation to the construction of the Osborne Co-generation plant.
  • Acting for a Japanese developer in a range of disputes over the construction of the Grand Marina apartment building at Paradise Waters, Gold Coast.
  • Acting for consulting engineers involving contractual and professional negligence claims in connection with the construction of the Rotowaro Coal Handling Facility - negotiating a settlement.
  • Acting for a major property developer in a Supreme Court action over the design and construction of flood mitigation structures.
  • Acting for Australia Post in numerous engineering contracts and disputes.
  • Advising claimants under the Building and Construction Industry Payments Act including:
    - Acting in Supreme Court reviews of adjudicators decisions
    - Responding to and making applications on behalf of small contractors, major materials suppliers, consulting firms and construction companies.
    - Acting in Supreme Court applications for a contractor involved in various Western Queensland development projects.
