Lilian has practised in the commercial, property and banking and finance areas of law since being admitted to practice as a solicitor in 2004. Lilian advises business and, commercial, retail and rural property clients.
Experience
- Acting for commercial landlords in preparing and negotiating commercial leases, fitout deeds, car parking licences, incentive agreements and ancillary agreements.
- Negotiating contracts for the acquisition and sale of child care centre facilities throughout Australia. This involves attending to various town planning issues such as requisitions issued by council especially for rectification works, dealing with the different requirements in relation to property title procedures across all States of Australia and setting up easements for drainage and sewerage works and, road access or right of way.
- Assisting a listed property trust in the acquisition of rural properties in Central and North Queensland. These transactions involve advising on contract negotiations and planning issues such as change of use, transfers of partial Crown land, statutory resumptions, partial sale or leaseback and agistment agreements.
- Advising several landlords of regional and metropolitan shopping centres on retail shop leasing issues, agreements for lease, assignment subletting, breach issues and in dispute situations.
- Advising restaurant and liquor retailers on liquor licensing regulations and applications.
- Advising and negotiating licensing and distribution agreements for a building equipment manufacturer.
